Fairchild Auto Detect LED Dimmer Driver, reducing BOMsFollow article
Fairchild have made a big step forward with their new LED driver, continuing their ongoing theme of smaller and more efficient devices. The FL7734MX with Primary Side Regulation (PSR) and an internal dimmer control function will continue to help reduce BOMs whilst giving products winning features in a growing competitive market.
- No Input E-Cap.
- No Boost PFC circuit block
- No Photo-Coupler and Regulator
- Flicker-Free active dimmer control technique
- 5 W to greater than 60 W
- NEMA SSL 7A-2013 compliance
- Auto detection of dimmer connection
Fairchild are also providing additional design support with an FL7734MX Design Tool – See the application note below for details.
RS continue to expand the range of Fairchild devices with over 1,000 new devices launched in the past year.
More about Fairchild
A global leading semiconductor manufacturer ($1.4bn revenue) with a history that goes back to the earliest days of transistor, integrated circuits and OpAmp invention with the breakaway of the infamous “Traitorous Eight” that gave rise to the semiconductor industry as a whole.
Fairchild have built their reputation over the years on developing and manufacturing a complete portfolio of low- to high-power solutions that are known for innovation, robustness and value.
The new strategic drive is simple; focus on breakthroughs in technology to deliver products that are the smallest with the lowest power consumption, to step ahead of the competition.
The Fairchild of today is therefore a dynamic forward thinking powerhouse that is clearly keeping close to design engineers and giving them the products they want.
