Enter our Summer of Sound Design Challenge
We are looking for you to create an original design that is musical, it could be a completely new instrument using the latest technology or a rework of something that you have given new life to.
It really doesn't matter what you create, just as long as you can demonstrate its musical attributes, so a video is required.
The challenge will require you to create an Article here on DesignSpark. Creating an Article is really easy, simply click the CONTRIBUTE button below make sure your content title includes the prefix Summer of Sound.
Within the article there should be the following 3 things;
1) A project overview.
2) A detailed blog of what you have done including the products and tools used in your design.
3) A video demonstration of the completed project.
In return, the winner will receive £1500 of RS Components products towards their next project.
Please note the closing date for entry is 5pm Friday 28th September 2018
No entries will be published until after the closing date.
The judging will be by an independent panel with the winner being announced by October 29th, 2018.

I spend the better part of one hour making a brand new writeup, uploading images and formatting an article on your site, only to be met by "Entity too large" or some other error message when I saved, so the article is gone. :(
Too bad, I don't feel like going through that again.
@MungoBBQ so sorry you had issues trying to upload your article. If you ever have issues using DesignSpark, you can contact us via our Support Centre at https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
Sorry for this question but I wonder if I can present a mixer, an amplifier or any other product of this kind for the contest?
Thanks for your question @Mras2an - you can indeed enter with a mixer or amplifier. Our Summer of Sound competition is not just for musical 'instruments' but for any musical electronics project :o)
