DTMF Controlled Home Automation based on Arduino UNO

RS Components and Controls PVT-LTD, DesignSpark Innovation Center - where we got the opportunity to do Internship. We performed many different tasks and learnt many skills during the Internship.

Aim and Scope of the Project

The main objective of this project is to develop a home automation system using an Arduino board with Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF), this project lets you operate your home appliances like lights, doors and other electrical appliances from your office or any other remote place. So, if you forgot to switch off the lights or other appliances while going out, it helps you to turn off the appliance with your cell phone.

Advantages

  • Security
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Convenience

The home automation system has been experimentally proven to work satisfactorily by connecting sample appliances to it and the appliances were successfully controlled from a wireless mobile device. Thus a low-cost home automation system was successfully designed, implemented and tested.
