Design with Petunia LEDs for better, bigger harvests

These innovative Petunia starter kits and components from Intelligent LED Solutions (ILS) bring together LEDiL Petunia horticultural lenses with OSRAM’s latest Oslon® technology to help you create a highly reliable and extremely efficient lighting solution.

The LED modules in the Petunia range generate various combinations of the warm white, hyper red and deep blue wavelengths required to create optimal lighting solutions for rapid seedling development or plant growth. Each Petunia kit includes all the components needed to build a total lighting solution, including optimised lenses, constant-current LED drivers, heatsinks and thermal materials.

Five different starter kit configurations are available, each of which speeds up product development by bringing the required components together into a ready-to-use package:

ILK-PETUNIA-01. Offers an LED configuration of 6 warm white, 5 hyper red and 1 deep blue for general illumination. This kit employs a parallel Petunia board offering control over individual colour channels as well as lighting levels.

ILK-PETUNIA-01S. As the ILK-PETUNIA-01 model (above) for general illumination with an LED configuration of 6 warm white, 5 hyper red and 1 deep blue. The difference is that the -01S model employs a serial Petunia board so all 12 LEDs are controlled simultaneously.

ILK-PETUNIA-02. Also for general purpose applications, the -02 kit features a high-efficiency module which contains 9 hyper red and 3 deep blue LEDs on a serial Petunia board.

ILK-PETUNIA-03. Configured with 6 hyper red and 6 deep blue LEDs on a serial Petunia board, this kit helps to accelerate the growth of leafy vegetation and increase crop yield.

ILK-PETUNIA-04. This starter kit has been developed specifically for seedlings with a configuration of 3 hyper red and 9 deep blue LEDs on a serial Petunia board as young plants respond well to the predominantly blue wavelengths.

As an OSRAM certified partner, ILS uses the latest Oslon® SSL ThinGaN emitters from OSRAM in the LED modules. These highly-reliable emitters have low thermal resistance to ensure cool-running and extremely efficient end products.

Additionally, the LED modules have been designed for optimal use with LEDiL Petunia lenses which are extremely compact horticultural LEDs for greenhouse environments or retail spaces. Produced in optical grade polycarbonate for long-lasting durability, the lenses also feature moulded pins to ensure accurate attachment to the baseboard.
