RS Components is travelling around the United Kingdom and across Europe in a large purpose built truck. Affectionately know as Titan, it will showcase the latest products, services and technologies available from RS Components.

Recently, the Truck visited Coventry University’s futuristic Engineering and Computing Building. The scene was set and visitors would be treated to chocolates, pens, USBs and other freebies.

Among the RS assembled team that helped the students and educators understand the large range of RS offerings were RS Key Account Managers and members of the DesignSpark team. The team were on-hand to support and provide all the necessary information.

The truck attracted an array of students, from engineering, design, arts, computing, law and health. The 3D printer stole the show – again – as many visitors, from a non-engineering background, hadn’t physically seen one yet. The engineering students were more focussed on the DesignSpark community and tools.

After discussions and introductions, the engineering students saw real value in using the DesignSpark platform to either launch an idea or test the market. Students’ comments ranged from “I have this great idea and I’m going to use DesignSpark to sell it” to “I’m going to research IoT devices on DesignSpark”.

Over the course of the day, over 150 students and educators walked through RS Truck’s doors. Take a look for yourself at Coventry University and the RS Truck.
