Industrial Sensing Products from STMicroelectronics

The world of industrial sensing covers many sensor types and applications, from the basic off-the-shelf presence sensors such as limit switches to sensors with built-in intelligence that acquire knowledge for ingrained Machine Learning and AI capabilities, the application potential for sensors seems limitless.

For industrial sensing, the opportunities brought by new technology and the manufacturing efficiencies of the sensors themselves, present users with an abundance of feature-rich applications at an afforded cost base. The smart factory of Industry 4.0 requires a broad range of sensors to deliver the information needed to make informed decisions at the enterprise level. Also, these sensors are doing much more than just sensing individual parameters, the information they provide from condition monitoring is driving the efficiencies of predictive maintenance and asset management planning.

STMicroelectronics is continually addressing the needs of Smart Industry through continued product development, they understand that this means doing things more efficiently, with less energy resource and with better man to machine integration.

The following are just some of the recent highlights where ST is providing those valuable resource tools for evaluation of sensor development and deployment of sensor-based applications.

SensorTile for Industrial STWIN

The introduction of STWIN is a game-changer for industrial IoT development. Using this fully-featured development kit, parameters associated with industrial applications can be evaluated freely. The ability to build a predictive maintenance prototype using STWIN can offer up a well thought out approach for condition monitoring of key industrial assets. With the many sensors included on the board and expansion boards available, this is one handy piece of kit to have.
