FH34SRJ is a horizontal connection, 1 piece connector for back-flip type FPC / FFC.

Today, the industry-standard FPC connector “Flip-Lock” was developed in 1994 by Hirose Electric, the first in the industry. Since then, we have continued to deliver a wide variety of FPC / FFC connectors to the consumer market, contributing to the miniaturization of various sets.

Among them, FH34SRJ has grown into a mega-hit series with a production scale of more than 30 million units per month. It is mainly used in the consumer market and has been adopted by many customers in various applications such as smartphones, AI speakers, and wireless earphones. Recently we have been expanding our deployment to the industrial machinery and medical fields.

◆ Unique Back-Flip rotating actuator

The back-flip type is used to lock the inserted FPC / FFC. The actuators are located on opposite sides of the FPC insertion direction.

Therefore, even in the case of the wiring in which the FPC is routed upward, the actuator is opened due to the tension. Defects are unlikely to occur. Design freedom will increase and assuring reliable electrical and mechanical connection.

◆ High FPC retention (tensile strength)

The unique terminal structure achieves high FPC retention, which is about 2.6 times that of conventional products and about 2.0 times that of conventional products in the horizontal direction. This structure prevents accidental FPC loss due to FPC routing.

◆ Smooth FPC insertion

In the front flip type, the actuator is located on the FPC insertion side, and the insertion portion is wide open. In contrast, the flip-back type often has the disadvantage of being difficult to insert into the FPC. The FH34SRJ series improves insertion by providing a taper on the four sides of the slot and enables smooth FPC insertion.

◆ Top/Bottom Contact structure improves design freedom

Both the upper and lower terminals can be connected, and the designer can use the "up and down contact structure" to pull in the direction. There is no need to select and disconnect connectors.
