I had a problem getting auto-route to wire up a BGA so ended up having to route all the pins manually, I wanted to be able to use the auto-router for the rest of the board so I routed the BGA pins to 0 Ohm SMD resistors. Auto-route worked fine.
I wanted to automatically short the 0 Ohm resistors so I didn't have to actually fit components so I made a library part for a shorted resistor (I placed a pad between the resistor pads), this resulted in pad to pad errors. Now the rest of the board will not route to these shorted links, I assume the router will not route to a faulty pad.
Are there any other options to solve this?
