This is a reference design of the RENESAS Smart LED, which is one of the quick solutions using RL78 / G1D. It is provided in a format that allows you to use it with our free DesignSpark PCB software to edit and use freely. For a download link of the RENESAS Smart LED project file and article, please refer to the end of this article.
RENESAS Smart LED is a board which can control LED colour using Bluetooth. By installing RL78 / G1D on this board, you can freely output your favourite colour with low current and low power consumption by using Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE). As an example, it is possible to remotely manipulate the colours of LEDs from applications that provide a smartphone RGBLED control interface.
Key features
- The colour of the LED can be changed freely
- Low current consumption and low power consumption
- Change the colour of LED remotely using a smartphone
