It's scare season again, with Halloween almost upon us. To celebrate we have created a special "torture" video using the igus dryve D3 motor controller (179-8511)  which is available now from RS Components.Â
Did you know that you can control the DC motor without the need for any additional software and also no need for a PC. Pretty simple right?
Our latest motor control system can operate with limit switches or via power consumption and is compatible with all igus DC motors.
There is even left/right operation and speed control incorporated directly on the housing, with an additional option for external switches or joysticks.
Watch our video below to see just how simple it is to get started with intricate DIY projects (or even re-create our haunted house) with the igus dryve D3 DC motor controller.
Mwahahahaa!

Have you read Mr Bit's DesignSpark article yet introducing the basic theory behind encoders and more specifically quadrature incremental encoders? It includes trying to read the encoders with an Arduino UNO and some very well commented code!Â
