LED Strips Enable a New Generation of Interior Lighting Design

Flexible LED lighting strips enable a new approach to lighting for interior decorators, designers and architects.

One of the latest developments in lighting technology is the availability of powerful LED lighting that comes in a strip that can be cut to length. Being small in size, this new lighting technology is discreet and virtually invisible when turned off, but will provide a strong even light across a wide area when turned on. It is particularly good for lighting up artworks as the neutral white colour does not distort colours and will not create reflection on transparent surfaces. Another advantage of LED lighting is that it is efficient and generates very little heat.

PowerFlex industrial grade flexible LED strips are ideal for this application. They are designed to be robust, and to provide high brightness and a long life. The PowerFlex range incorporates constant current drivers, protection diodes and the latest 3M thermal tape, enabling a brightness of 3500 lumens per metre, whilst still achieving 50,000 hours working life. The PowerFlex range has the LED's at different spacings - from 7.5mm between each LED, to 25mm between each LED and the strip can be cut to length and shaped to create bespoke lighting solutions.
