Calling all Extraordineers!!

We have seen some amazing people make a real difference over the last few months and now it's your chance to get involved.

Can you design a solution that could change our world for the better? Do you want to help combat poverty, disease, and hunger, reduce pollution and climate change, promote good health and wellbeing or even create sustainable cities and communities of the future? girl_2_c446ffdf9cd25bf97b134f2b74547bea67cc1328.jpg

Then why not make a difference and enter our Extraordinary Engineering Challenge for students aged between 7 and 16 years old and become one of our amazing "Extraordineers". (and win some cool tech in the process!!)

Its simple to enter. All you need is your imagination and a drawing device (paper or electronic) and you're ready to begin designing. Then think about a problem you want to solve, big or small and what could be built by engineers to make this happen now or in the future (because that's what engineers do!!).

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • A shopping robot for the elderly
  • Water powered cars
  • Space farms
  • Plastic collecting robots
  • Water harvesting systems
  • Recycled plastic trainers
  • Dirty to clean water straws
  • Smart Beehives

If you are feeling adventurous then why not build a 3D model of your design? You could even record a video? Make sure you give a description of your design and highlight all the cool parts and unique features

We have 2 categories to enter for age groups 7 to 11 and 12 to 16 years old, so remember to put your age on your design and make sure you get permission from a parent or guardian to enter.

The winners of each category will have their designs published on our website and will receive a cool tech bundle worth over £700 which includes a Piper computer kit (Pi-top computer kit for 12-16), a Sphero Bolt robot, Mekamon Berserker robot, and a Raspberry Pi starter kit
