5 new Zerynth supported boards exclusively available for DesignSpark users - Python for IoT

The new version of Zerynth (r.2.3.0) supports 5 devices that are exclusively available for DesignSpark users.

And for everyone that does not know what Zerynth is, here’s a quick recap: Zerynth is the middleware for the IoT and industry 4.0. It offers a quick and easy way to program 32-bit microcontrollers in Python and connect them to the Cloud. 5 new supported devices

With the release of Zerynth r.2.3.0, there have been new devices, libraries, enhancements, and optimizations. Most importantly, there has been an addition of 5 new devices, that are available only for DesignSpark users:

  • Infineon XMC4200 Digital Power Control Card: The (914-5256) XMC4200 Digital Power Control Card is an evaluation board with the goal to help engineers in the learning and testing of digital power control applications. The board features an XMC4200 microcontroller based on ARM® Cortexâ„¢M4F core.
  • Infineon XMC4400 Enterprise Kit: The (914-5250) Enterprise Kit houses the XMC4400 Microcontroller and three satellite connectors (HMI, COM, ACT) for application expansion. The board along with satellite cards (e.g. HMI_OLED-V1, COM_ETH-V1, AUT_ISO-V1 boards) demonstrates the capabilities of the XMC4400.
  • Infineon XMC4800 Connectivity Kit: The (917-0741) XMC4800 Connectivity Kit with EtherCAT® utilizes Infineon’s industry-leading XMC ARM® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller in combination with WiFi Click Board from MikroElektronika.

  • Xplained Pro Sam C21: The (177-9605) Xplained Pro Sam C21 is a microcontroller device based on the Atmel SAMC21J18A ARM Cortex-M0+ CPU. The Xplained Pro extension kit offers additional peripherals to extend the features of the device and ease the development of custom designs.
  • Xplained Pro Sam C21N: The (146-3393) SAMC21N Xplained Pro evaluation kit is a hardware platform for evaluating the ATSAMC21N18A microcontroller (MCU). The kit provides easy access to the features of the ATSAMC21N18A and explains how to integrate the device into a custom design; Microchip ATECC508A crypto element is available onboard.

    How to use the boards

    In order to use the new boards, you need to login to your Zerynth account as a DesignSpark user.

    If you don’t have a DesignSpark account yet, click here. After all, there are tons of free-to-use software you can choose from. For 3D CAD projects, there’s DesignSpark Mechanical. If you’re looking to design circuit boards there’s DesignSpark PCB and DesignSpark Electrical.
