EW BrightSparks 2018 - Design Engineers of Tomorrow

We are proud to announce that the EW BrightSparks programme is back for 2018! Electronics Weekly and RS Components have once again teamed up to find and highlight the brightest and most talented young electronic engineers in the United Kingdom. 

If you know an engineer under the age of 30 who is working or studying in the UK, and making a difference in the first years of their career or showing significant promise then make sure you nominate them by Clicking Here. Nominations will be open until 28th February 2018.

 It’s a high-profile panel full of industry expertise and knowledge. The judges include (alphabetically): Adam Boulton (CTO, BlackBerry Business Technology Solutions), Clive Couldwell (group editor, Electronics Weekly), Graham Curren (CEO, Sondrel), Peter Hannon (Managing Director, HARTING UK), Paul Hide (techUK’s director of market engagement and membership), Isabella Mascarenhas (IET’s Young Professionals Engagement Manager), Jude Pullen (Technologist), Lindsley Ruth (CEO, RS Components) and Martin Woodhead, Executive Vice President, Ensigma, Imagination Technologies.

The BrightSparks Class of 2017 were selected by a high-profile panel of judges including; Isabella Mascarenhas (IET’sYoung Professionals Engagement Manager), Tony Fish (co-founder FabLab London), Paul Hide (COO, techUK), Dr Lucy Rogers (Science Writer and Robot Wars judge), Lindsley Ruth (CEO, RS Components) and Richard Wilson (Editor, Electronics Weekly).
