Do you have what it takes to be crowned as the best hand solderer in the UK for 2019?
The IPC Hand Soldering Competitions take place all around the world and What's New In Electronics Live will be hosting the UK competition in September 2019 at NAEC Stoneleigh.
As well as a cash prize, the winner will earn an expenses paid trip to the IPC Hand Soldering World final to represent the UK.
This contest recognizes the best skills in hand soldering complex printed board assemblies.
Participants will compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a half-hour time limit.
Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610G Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly. IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as judges.
