Fast Design for High Density Power Modules for 5W to 40W DC-DC Designs in DesignSpark PCB and Popular CAD tools

TDK’s Chip Embedded μPOLTM DC-DC power modules, enabling power delivery for High density, Small Form Factor, and Low profile (Height).

These tiny power modules for 5W to 40W DC-DC designs can be used for various FPGA/SoCs/ASICs and multi-ARM controller devices from 1A to 12A. 

Evaluation boards are also available and demonstrated in the video below:

 

FREE ready for download reference designs are available here (registration required) and can then simply be imported into the designs using DesignSpark PCB.

The reference designs feature schematics and layouts ready to go --- proven designs --- on DesignSpark PCB and other CAD software.

These micro-point-of -load (μPOL™) voltage regulators, will open new doors for overall higher PCB board density and trends for system-level integration.  They are ideal for crafting DC-DC power solutions in the nooks, crannies between and around the FPGAs, ASICs, memory; and under the hoods of heat sinks on the top or bottom of PCB boards or daughter cards for design flexibility.  For example, the FS1406 can deliver 15 Watts in a 3.3mm x 3.3mm x 1.5mm height package.
