Our team has used the DesignSpark PCB software to draw our schematic diagram for our Arduino set up. The software provides us with an easy to use but professional tool to visualize the schematic diagram instead of drawing on a paper.
The DesignSpark community has uploaded many tutorials for us to view and learn the different functions of the software and apply them to fulfil our needs. The components we used were not present in the library and we had to create the components in the software ourselves.
The diagram can be shared among us to view, in case we have forgotten the wiring steps and it will not be misplaced accidentally if drawn on a paper. The diagram drawn was also more presentable in a report compared to a picture of the drawing on a paper.
The project is a water consumption tracker which the amount of water consumed is transmitted to a cloud server and displayed on a mobile device for users to have a real-time monitoring system.
