Connect the Community - Canvas product development (this project will be changing as time goes on)

This project will detail the development of my design idea that was deemed worthy as a finalist of DesignSpark's Connect the Community competition. (Please don't steal it, drop a comment if you'd be interested in some kind of use for it, thanks.)

This is the sketch that I submitted for the competition, the design has changed slightly since then but the whole idea remains the same.IMG_20200702_113531_e6172713f653e4999f70a399545c11601b7f5d98.jpgThis is the first paper prototype, mainly a study for the rear legs; I was thinking about some kind of single leg with a hinge in the middle that was connected at two ends but my initial concept won over.

Since this is a developing project, here is the second iteration of Canvas; the idea of being a tablet computer in its own right is gone but the hardware updates and additional software can still be relevant.

This idea works around a frame to hold a tablet computer in and has a couple of other improvements centered around the user experience with physical paper as well though by no means will this be the final design of Canvas but it is a nice evolution!

This is a work in progress, check back for future updates.....
