In this edition, we were keen to learn more about the latest edition of Renesas's successful RL78 family, the RL78/G23. This newest member picks up from where the ever-popular RL78/G13 left off and provides engineers with new levels of functionality and improved power consumption, whilst addressing the needs of IoT Edge devices.

Seraphin Bikek
Seraphin is based in Düsseldorf and has been with Renesas Electronics Europe for 4.5 years holding the position of Microcontroller Business Development Manager for the European Market.
Previous roles have included Technical Marketing Engineer and Field Application Engineer supporting a variety of customers and application areas. He has extensive knowledge of the industry including semiconductors, software and hardware.
