Are you a Maker? Have you made something you want to sell?
The Maker Movement is supercharging! Makerspaces, HackSpaces and FabLabs are popping up everywhere in our towns and cities giving Makers access to rapid prototyping tools, new skills and a likeminded community to collaborate with.
These spaces often have a wide variety of equipment that is useful to small businesses and Tech Start-ups to take their fun projects and ideas from concept to prototype to a production ready product. For those who want to scale up their operation, with Crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter, Makers can also fund their projects to production so they can sell them.
This month DesignSpark has introduced an exciting new platform to the DesignSpark community that allows Makers, Pro Makers and small businesses to sell the things that they have designed and created. DesignSpark Marketplace is free to use for all DesignSpark members. With over 650,000 DesignSpark members to sell to from all over the world, it’s an ideal platform to showcase products.
You may be a hobbyist looking to earn some pocket money from your creations or a small business/tech start up looking for customers, it doesn’t matter, just as long as it’s something that you have designed and created. It could be a one off project that you created and want to sell or a product that you have designed and produced.
Items for sale should have an element of or be related to electronics and 3D printing. They might be “add on boards” or kits to use with popular Single Board computers like Raspberry Pi or Arduino. You may have things like laser cut cases for single board computers or project kits or fun projects that you have created. Or perhaps its just a cool 3D printed widget that you have designed and want to sell. It doesn’t really matter, as long as it’s your own creation!
It’s really simple to buy and sell, It only takes a few minutes to list your item to sell and payments are powered via PayPal or Stripe. During the Beta period there is no commissions to pay to the DesignSpark Marketplace, however the standard PayPal and Stripe fees will apply.
During our Beta trial, please feel free to leave feed back about the site and the future features you'd like to see.

Happy Buying and Selling!
