This year, in MART Formula Student we face the great challenge of design and manufacture an electric car in one year, the MA24RT, to compete in Formula Student Spain, but also improve our last combustion to compete in Formula Student Austria.

MA24RT Desing and Manufacture Process
Like most years, we start design the car CAD model in September taking account of the previous feedback of our last designs. This year designing an electric car we design all from zero, especially the heart of our car, the accumulator and the electronic parts.
RS has been an essential part of MART Formula Student, supplying components and tools to the team, improving our performance every year.
The soldering station has been a key tool in achieving precision and reliability in our electronic systems. It has allowed us to create high-quality connections, ensuring the durability and performance of the printed circuit boards that play a critical role in the MA24RT's functionality.
Another essential component in our project is the use of interlocks. These devices are vital for maintaining safety standards, especially in high-voltage systems like the accumulator. We also use mica sheets to isolate the accumulator thanks to the resistance properties to high temperatures.
Each component has played a specific role in addressing the unique challenges of developing an electric car, from designing the CAD model to assembling and testing the car.
Season 23-24 Summary
The journey of designing and building the first electric car, the MA24RT has been nothing easy. Each challenge we’ve faced has strengthened our resolve, increased our passion in engineering and innovation and united us as a team.
That’s why we start this new season with excitement and determination to keep improving with RS, all our sponsors, advisors and friends in this exciting journey.
