A webinar to learn about preventing fire hazards within your applicances

Appliance safety is of paramount importance to end users. The industry is placing much of its attention towards the safety of unattended appliances. It is therefore important that plastic materials used within the appliance are tested to ensure that overheating presents no fire hazard.

Our webinar speaker, Daniela Graziano from TE Connectivity, is an expert with 15 years' experience in flammability requirements for appliance products. During the webinar, Daniela will explain the methodology of the glow wire test which is used on component parts within appliances.

Key points you will take away include:

  • Knowledge of the relevant standards and the fundamentals of flammability requirements for appliances.
  • Identify where the glow wire test is required and the correct faces of non-metallic material to test.
  • How to perform the glow wire test on plastic parts and end products.
  • Evaluate the results of the glow wire test.
