2016 Electronic Product Design Project Competition - City University of Hong Kong

After a year, the Electronic Product Design Competition is coming back!

Same as last year, students are required to design a robot, to pick an object (plastic cube) and deliver it to the target (through a hoop into a bin) after travelling on a customized track to test maneuverability. But this time, there have a small difference is, there will have an obstacle to block one of the track, the robot need to find the only way to the goal by themselves. The students utilized DesignSpark PCB to complete their PCB layout designs with component sponsorship by RS.

Judging criteria included the speed of completion, efficiency of the pickup, delivery and track guidance system.

The overall design of the robot was also inspected.

The Gold Award winning team will receive $1,200 of book coupons, the Silver Award and the Creative Idea Award winning teams will receive $1,000 of book coupons, and the Bronze Award will receive $800 of book coupons, respectively. Each winner will also receive a certificate.
