1. This video shows you how to add a standard Raspberry Pi operating system to an SD card, or update an older operating system with a later one. Latest approved Raspberry Pi Images can be found on the Raspberry Pi Downloads Page

Note for PI 2 users, Pre 31st Jan 2015 Images will not work with Pi 2, you need to download and install the new images availble from the Raspberry Pi Downloads Page. These latest images are backwards compatible with P1.

The process in this video requires a Windows computer. Note, this is not applicable for the NOOBS installations (see point 2 below)

 

NOOBS

Instructions for NOOBS Install 

 

NOOBS is ideal for beginners and is a quick way of getting up and running. Note for Pi 2 users. - NOOBS 1.3.12 and above are backwards compatible with P1. Older versions of NOOBS will not run on Pi 2.
