DesignSpark PCB is gaining a lot of popularity in India with (over 300,000 users worldwide). Its a good mix of industry professionals/designers, students & academia and hobbyists.
We are happy to announce that after the tremendous response to our first ever DesignSpark PCB contest, second season of it too got equally good response. RS India received this year again very enthusiastic entries from across India for the second edition of RS India DesignSpark PCB contest 2015. While it is interesting that about 80% of registrations came from the budding engineer (academia), 10% from Industry professionals & remaining 10% from the electronic hobbyists.
The aim of the contest was to promote schematic & layout design using DesignSpark PCB. Details on the contest can be found here. Participants were given one month to carry out the schematic & layout design of any electronic circuit of their choice and submit the design files along with BOM on DesignShare.
We received very good final submissions in the contest; these submissions with all design files & BOM are available on DesignShare. We are happy to see that some of the participating teams have gone an extra mile and have also done the PCB fabrication & built the prototypes.
As we appreciate the efforts from everyone who participated in the contest, we would also like to share the list of winners where the designs stands out of the crowd and who’ve fulfilled all technical criteria of the contest.
