This is a work in progress, the following images are from the presentation that will be part of a video and will ultimately include all code, schematics etc. as part of the final post. This will be followed with a series of posts for each section / part of this example design in order to present the details of how the parts work in isolation and as a complete system. The hardware involved will grow as the series progresses and will start with:-
HMI Displays in the form of ready built, and home made
Microcontrollers in the form of Arduinos, Raspberry PIs and also a few ready built but not too expensive Home and Industrial grade PLCs
Software including Windows 10 IoT, Raspbian, ImperiHome Smart app for Android and Apple IoS, Node-Red + several free design tools to go with the various HMI's we will look at. There will be many sensors integrated into the design with example code along the way for you to use.
The final solution will include MQTT and partake in the "Internet of Things". We will discuss several aspects of autonomy for various parts of the system and why "I" think some things should not be in the "CLOUD"
All Videos I’ll be posted onto YouTube at this channel: - www.youtube.com/c/thebreadboardca I hope you come along for the ride and if you have specifics you would like to see included then please leave comments on the channel or below. Thanks
